You can now split your large PDF files and Word documents with Zamzar! We’ve released a brand new tool to help you easily manage those chunky files, whether you’re looking to extract certain parts, reorganise sections, or divide the file to make transferring the contents a breeze.
How can splitting a PDF help me?
Whatever your role, having a handy file-splitting tool in your back pocket can save you time, effort and – let’s face it – frustration. Here are some examples of ways a PDF splitter could help you out at work:
- Administrators: Easily remove pages with outdated information from company documents, or segment long PDFs to reorganise the content into a new structure.
- Employees: Want to extract an infographic or chart from a report to use in communication with management? Just separate the PDF pages to get the one you need.
- Educators: Break a large textbook or workbook into sections to create manageable study guides and lesson plans for students.
- Company accountants: Pull out summary pages or P&L statements from annual financial reports, so you can share with board members or directors.
- HR team: Need to onboard a new starter? Split employee handbooks into topics, so you don’t overwhelm them with too much information at once.
- Sales people: Divide a product catalogue into pieces, and send potential customers product selections tailored to their interests.
- Paralegals or solicitors: Extract parts from a long contract, so you can send only the applicable sections to the relevant parties.
- Bookkeepers: Separate out invoices and receipts from a large PDF to make date-entry and archiving much easier.
- Customer support workers: Break long technical manuals and help guides into smaller chunks, so you can send the customer just the part they need, whether that’s for setup, onboarding or trouble-shooting.
And what about splitting a Word document?
As well as PDFs, with Zamzar you can split DOC and DOCX files too. Here are a few ways this could be useful:
- ✏️ You need to request some edits from a copywriter. Sending just the parts of the Word document that need reworking can simplify things, speeding up the review and completion process.
- 💰 You want to create a customised proposal for a client from a company template Word document. By splitting the file, you can extract just the parts relevant to that particular client.
- 🧑🎓 You’re designing a short training course, and breaking the full curriculum into smaller pieces will enable you to set up individual lessons.
- 📆 You’ve compiled a schedule for a conference or event, and separating out each day’s activities will allow you to send the relevant parts to different attendees or post daily agendas on social media.
