So, can a Kindle read EPUB files? Surprisingly, not natively. You’ll have to convert your files to AZW3 first, or use the ‘Send to Kindle’ service to transfer the files and have them converted to AZW3 by Amazon.

Convert EPUB to PDF on a Mac or Windows computer
